(July 7, 2015) -  Tooth Blackner is pleased to present HAYDEN w/ guests Evening Hymns in Calgary at Commonwealth Bar and Stage – September 24th, 2015.

Having spent much of the spring on a coast to coast tour with label mate Dan Mangan + BlacksmithHayden and recently returning from a run of US dates supporting Bahamas, Hayden once again returns to the road with a string of live dates in Western Canada beginning at Rifflandia on September 18. Hayden will be supported by guests Chad VanGaalen and Samantha Savage Smith in Vancouver and Nelson, and then joined by Evening Hymns and Hayden’s live bandmate Taylor Knox for the remainder of the dates.  And, as reminder of what a spellbinding performer he is, the video of his February 28 performance at the legendary Massey Hall is revealed today. Watch the iconic musician and his band perform a collection of songs that sample his back catalogue and highlight his latest release, Hey Love, including “Almost Everything”,“Bass Song”,“No Happy Birthday”,“Trees Lounge”,“Hey Love”, and more.

Hey Love is a heartrending love letter of hope and disarray, the follow-up to 2013’s JUNO Award-nominated Us Alone, his sonically warm and emotive debut record on Arts & Crafts. Highlighted by NPR and The AV Club’s list of The Best Albums Of 2015 So Far, the new album addresses the widest spectrum of love as its muse, its thirteen songs among Desser’s most affective, tactile, rousing yet restrained work to date. The album was performed and produced almost entirely by Hayden at his Toronto home studio, Skyscraper National Park. Additional recordings took place at Revolution Studio in Toronto with contributions from his live band featuring Jay McCarrolTaylor Knox, and JJ Ipsen
